Ikea Hacks: 7 Ways To Customize Your Ivar Cabinets

The Swedish company is known not only for its amazing furniture at a very low price tag, but also for a thing called “IKEA Hacks”. It consists in customizing Ikea furniture to transform it into something different or just add your touch. Many people have already tried customizing a piece of Ikea furniture. Some even made a business out of it. This is not surprising when you consider that Ikea furniture is really easy to assemble and very functional. Take the Ivar cabinet, for example. It is narrow therefore very comfortable for small spaces and made of untreated wood, so easy to adapt. Plus its design is very simple, everyone can customize it to their taste. The perfect piece for an IKEA hacks.

I own two of these Ivar cabinets myself. I put it in my entrance because it’s a narrow room with a long hallway so I needed something to complement it and not make it appear narrower than it is. I did consider some very “light” consoles, but I needed storage space to put shoes and other entry-level items. So the Ivar cabinets seemed like the perfect option.

However, as much as I like the way it looks, how it looks. It wouldn’t have fitted with the rest of my facility at all. So I did some research to see what my options were. What I found exceeded my expectations …

DIY: Maak each own tipi

Gallery Of DIY: Maak’s own tipi

Zoals veel small children is mijn small man helemaal gek van tentjes.
