These are the most stunning outdoor fire pit areas that you will find and for sure will inspire your own outdoor project!

It’s hard to say which outdoor project I am most excited about this year.

As I mentioned when I shared all the “before” pics of our yard and exterior; I’ve been waiting and saving and planning the changes to our outdoors since we bought our house by the lake {six years ago this month}.

I’m definitely thrilled and excited about the new exterior siding; the new deck surface was necessary since our old one was leaking but I’m pumped about the new glass railings that will come with it.

But I think that the addition I’m most excited about is the new fire pit area that we are incorporating in the triangular area created by the new sidewalks. (see the before pics here)

Fire pits are one of those things that catch my imagination; every image I see online of a gorgeous fire pit area has me dreaming of warm summer evenings. Images of pink sunsets; string lights on poles; hot flames flicking at marshmallows; and the scent of s’mores floating along on the warm breeze. We’ll leave off the part where kids are chasing each other around the yard with flaming marshmallows on spear-like roasting sticks…

Instead; let’s keep the beautiful image alive and enjoy these stunning inspiration pictures that I found when searching for ideas to help us create a beautiful fire pit area in our own yard oasis…

I’m swooning over this sweet and simple little fire pit area via Flagg Coastal Homes – partly because that house exterior is gaga gorgeous! But also because I love the simple shape of the stylish fire bowl {and the fun and comfy looking seating!).

This fire pit area via BHG feels tropical but cozy, tucked into the back corner of the yard. Outdoor string lights for the win; I definitely want to incorporate some of these!

This fire pit area via Sunset feels romantic and cozy (if you can call sitting on rocks, cozy?!). I can only image what kind of vista you are looking out at from here; and I’m wondering if that’s a rustic hot tub in a barrel tucked up behind it? I also love the pretty and natural landscaping around it with a mix of rocks, gravel, grasses, and creeping plants.

This fire pit area via CC Architect is super convenient; right off the back doors -or could that be the front of the house? Either way, it looks like a fun place for friends and neighbours to gather! I like how one side has built in bench style seating…

Of course, this lakeside fire pit are via Country Living is pretty much dream-worthy, based on location alone, and the unique bench made out of stone and the giant stone patio are definitely gorgeous. I think I like the combination of bench and chair seating…

If you don’t have a big area for a fire pit, you could always incoporate a showstopping fire table! (look at the dining table!) Isn’t this outdoor space via Maison De Pax stunning? You should definitely pop over and check out the rest of her space!

This fire pit nook via BHG feels so inviting! I just want to head over and hunker down on that cozy outdoor sectional. This makes me rethink my outdoor fire pit seating preferences… and the built-in double layered fire pit is a pretty amazing feature, too.

A perfect fire pit for two. Or maybe four. This look nook via BHG shows that you don’t have to have an enormous area devoted to a fire pit to create a lovely cozy zone for evening fires.

Once again, I’m loving the shape and simplicity of this outdoor fire bowl in this fire pit area via My Domaine; and the mediterranean feeling background is calm and simple and lovely. My youngest would be cuckoo over that fountain. The seating looks super comfy as well, with the big cushions; and of course, the pool in the background doesn’t hurt.

This wide open fire pit area via Style Me Pretty has a gorgeous backdrop as well, with the fields and trees behind it. Not everyone can recreate that look; but I do love the combination of the gravel with the big, chunky rocks to define the actual fire area. Plus, adirondack chairs are always a favourite…

I’m totally swooning over this stunning outdoor fire pit area via Brooklyn Limestone – it’s got to be all that pole lighting. But I also love the seating, and stone patio, and the bar cart. This whole zone just spells out F-U-N, am I right?!?

This visually appealing outdoor fire pit area and complete back yard makeover via Simple Stylings shows that you don’t need a huge area to incorporate a fire pit and bowl and entertaining zone and garden all in one! The makeover of this space is amazing; and it proves that even a tiny, city yard can incorporate all the elements you need for a beautiful outdoor space.

This sweet little fire pit zone is located just off a tiny backyard studio that added tons of function and space for this family – all done on a tiny budget. Visit Dwell for all the details!

I know, right?! Jaw-dropping?? I guess the lakes not bad, either. Via House Beautiful

I love this beautiful backyard fire pit and entertaining area created by Jen via City Farmhouse – the entire backyard makeover is definitely worth the tour; and this cozy little zone is making me think, once again, about what kind of seating we should incorporate in ours…
