Small Easter handicrafts: Easter bunnies with children
Holidays just cry out for scissors, paper, paint and glue to dig out and do a little tinkering with the minis. In terms of the weather, we are still miles away from Easter. But you can always get in the mood with this little Easter handicraft. So on Sunday we made these Easter bunnies out of toilet paper rolls quite spontaneously and with things that we had just lying around here.
Since I found the Easter bunnies somehow still cute, they are really super simple and the handicrafts didn’t take too much time – the little ones’ patience is known to be limited – I took a few pictures and show them to you today as a little inspiration.
Well then! Here is a quick and easy guide:
You need that for that
Toilet paper rolls
Watercolor paint and brush. We have the Caran d’Ache paint box
Somewhat firmer paper (colored, black and white) for ears and eyes. Alternatively, you can also use googly eyes to stick on
Cotton wool for nose and tail. Alternatively, you can also use small pompoms or make pom poms yourself
Hot glue or craft glue
Black marker pen to draw whiskers and mouth
Washable pad and painting apron
Tinker Easter bunnies: that’s how it works
Tie on your apron. Fill the water glass, put a brush in your hand and off you go with the painting. Our three-year-olds had just enough patience to paint four rolls of toilet paper on their own. At the same time, I cut out ears and eyes and made noses and bobbles out of the cotton wool. Once the paint was dry, I glued everything on and drew whiskers and mouth with the felt pen. Tadaaah!
Of course, that was now the “super simple” version. Of course, there are no limits to your creativity.
Have fun tinkering with the Easter bunny!
