INFORMATION ON THE INSTRUCTIONS:

————————————————– —–

RIB (back and forth):

Knit the stitches in every row.

1 ridge = 2 rows in garter stitch = 2 rows on the right.

TEMPLATE:

See diagram A.1.

DECREASE TIP-1 (evenly spaced):

To work out how to decrease evenly, count the total number of stitches on needle (e.g. 89 stitches) and divide by the number of decreases to be made (e.g. 12) = 7.4.

In this example, decrease by knitting tog approx. Every 6th and 7th stitch.

DECREASE TIP-2 (applies to neckline on front piece).

Decrease 3 stitches on the inside, continue knitting these 3 stitches at the neckline in stocking stitch. All decreases are done from the right side.

Decrease as follows before the stitches that have been put on a thread for the neck (left shoulder):

Work until there are 5 stitches left on the needle (in the direction of the stitches from the thread), knit 2 together, knit the last 3 stitches in stocking stitch.

Decrease as follows after the stitches on thread for neckline (right shoulder):

3 stitches in stocking stitch, slip the next stitch as if to knit, knit the next stitch, pass the slipped stitch over, knit the end of the row.

INCREASE TIP (applies to sleeves):

Start 1 stitch before the marker thread, 1 yarn over, knit 2 stitches (the marker thread sits in the middle between these stitches), 1 yarn over. On the next round knit the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes.

PULLOVER – SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK:

The sweater is knitted back and forth in 2 parts, which are then sewn together. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles.

BACK PART:

Cast on: 89-97-103-113-125-137 stitches on circular needle size 4.5 mm with Air. Purl 1 row from wrong side, then work as follows – from the right side: 2 stitches in GARTER STITCH – see above, * Knit 1, purl 1 *, repeat from * – * until there are 3 stitches left, knit 1 and 2 stitches in garter stitch. Continue like this until the piece measures 8 cm. Change to circular needle size 5.5 mm. Knit 1 row from the right side where you decrease 12-14-14-16-18-20 stitches evenly – READ DECREASE TIP-1 (evenly spaced) = 77-83-89-97-107-117 stitches. Knit pattern A.1 with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch on each side. With a length of 43-44-45-46-47-48 cm at the beginning of each row, i.e. Cast off on both sides as follows for armholes: 3 stitches 1-1-1-1-1-1 times, 2 stitches 1-1-1-1-1-1 times and 1 stitch 1-1-2-2- 2-3 times = 65-71-75-83-93-101 stitches. Continue with A.1 until the piece measures 60-62-64-66-68-70 cm. Now cast off the middle 27-27-29-31-33-35 stitches for the neck. Continue to work each shoulder separately, cast off at the beginning of the next row beginning at the neckline as follows: 1 stitch 1 time = 18-21-22-25-29-32 stitches left on each shoulder. Continue working until the piece measures 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm, then bind off. Work the other shoulder in the same way.

FRONT PART:

Work like the back piece until the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm. Now put the middle 17-17-19-21-23-25 on a thread for the neckline. Continue to work each shoulder separately, decreasing at the beginning of each row beginning at the neck edge as follows: 1 stitch 6 times – read DECREASE TIP-2 (applies to the neckline on the front piece) = 18-21-22-25-29-32 stitches left per shoulder. Continue working until the piece measures 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm, then bind off. Work the other shoulder in the same way.

SLEEVE:

The sleeves are worked in the round on double pointed needles / circular needle, bottom up. For the sleeve ball, stitches are cast off and the sleeve is knitted back and forth.

Cast on: 46-48-50-52-52-56 stitches on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm with Air. Knit 1 round, then knit rib (knit 1 / purl 1). When the piece measures 8 cm, switch to double pointed needles size 5.5 mm and continue in stocking stitch, on the first round decrease 8-8-8-8-8-10 stitches evenly = 38-40-42-44-44- 46 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread at the beginning of the round = mid under the sleeve. Work in stocking stitch, AT THE SAME TIME when the piece measures 10-10-10-10-12-12 cm increase 1 stitch on each side of the marker thread – READ INCREASE TIP. Work the yarn overs twisted on the next round to avoid holes. Increase like this every 3½-3½-3-3-2-2 cm a total of 11-12-13-13-15-15 times = 60-64-68-70-74-76 stitches. When the piece measures 50-49-49-48-45-44 cm cast off 3 stitches on each side of the marker thread (= 6 stitches decreased mid under the sleeve), then work the sleeve back and forth at the beginning of each Row, ie Cast off on both sides as follows: 2 stitches 1 time on each side, 3 stitches 1 time on each side, then cast off the remaining stitches. Work the second sleeve in the same way.

COMPLETE:

Close the shoulder seams. Sew in the sleeves. Close the side seams within 1 edge stitch, leaving the bottom 8 cm open = side slits

NECK PANEL:

Approx. Pick up 92 to 106 stitches from the entire neckline with circular needle size 4.5 mm (including the stitches from the thread, adjust so that the number of stitches is divisible by 2). Knit 9 cm in a rib pattern (knit 1 / purl 1). Then bind off. Fold the neck edge in half and sew it onto the inside of the sweater, making sure that the seam is elastic so that the neck edge does not stretch and tilt outwards.
