Knit 1 round, purl 1 round, then work PEARL PATTERN – see explanation above, until the piece measures approx. (4½) 4½-5½-5½-5½ (6½-6½) cm. Purl 1 round, knit 1 round. Change to light gray and knit in stocking stitch. When the piece measures (10) 11-12-13-14 (14-15) cm (6) 8-7-8-8 (8-9) markers with (10) 9-12-11-12-13 each Insert -12 stitches in between. When the piece measures 8-11 cm, decrease 0-2 stitches evenly = 36-36 stitches (approx. 2 cm are now missing to the finished measurement).

Then work in stocking stitch and decrease as follows:

ROUND 1: * Knit 4, knit 2 together (= 1 stitch decreased) *, repeat from * – * to the end of the round = 30-30 stitches.

ROUND 2: Knit in stocking stitch.
