LITTLE GEMS: BLOCK 2 OF 52 SQUARE PICKUP

I’m publishing this pattern a bit earlier as a surprise for our knitting friends who greet the sun earlier than others (in Australia, New Zealand, etc) So… good morning to you! Meanwhile, I’ll get back to the kitchen to prepare dinner for me and Tomi 😉

Hi there!! How are you?

I saw a lot of squares number 1 in Ravelry and Instagram and I could not be happier with the amount of people who joined this project, from many countries of the world. Isn’t it wonderful? Also, did you see that our Ravelry group already has almost 600 members? Amazing!

For all those who did not follow my previous KAL of blocks (12 blocks for Xmas) I would like to remind you that I always leave at the end of each pattern, here on my blog, a PDF copy so you can download it and take it with you anywhere (after the KAL is finished, I’ll remove them, so make sure to download them in time!). Speaking of which: does anyone use the first file? I think that, unless someone objects, I’ll start to create just one file: the ROW-BY-ROW. What do you think? Please let me know. Thank you!

I’m going to publish square number 3 next Thursday. And so we began to advance the days a little bit, to arrive with plenty of time in December to assemble the blanket.

Have a wonderful weekend, and Happy Knitting!

Cecilia

UPDATE February 2020

If you want to add the pattern to your Ravelry library, click HERE.

The entire pattern is below.

You can also find this pattern in my collection “52 SQUARE PICKUP: Patterns 1 to 20” HERE. As a “Beginner Stitch Patterns” mini book it could be a great resource for your future projects.

The high quality PDF file includes:

gauge/tension info and materials

written instructions

charted instructions

row-by-row CONTROL TABLE for each block: specially prepared for novice knitters, with integrated instructions for the block pattern AND edge stitches, to avoid confusion. You can use the table cells to check each row as you finish it, and there is a column for every repeat of the pattern you need to make according to the instructions. A great resource to print and check your progress as you knit.
