How does my garden get structure – create garden spaces

It is never wrong to first write down your ideas on a piece of paper and create a garden plan. The elements marked in gray were already present in the garden. The green and colorful elements have been added. They are changing the old garden structure and restructuring the garden. Let’s take a closer look at that.
The garden from the outside
Many garden owners hide their garden from the view of passers-by with a high hedge or with a high opaque fence. I think that’s a shame. It can be compared to a house with the shutters down day and night. When walking, I prefer to look at colorful flower beds rather than at protective hedges. That’s why my garden welcomes its visitors with a knee-high rose hedge in front of the fence. For this I have chosen multiple blooming, very resistant bush roses. They can also cope when a naughty dog lifts its leg on it. They are planted under with creeping catnip. Not only does it bloom continuously, it also magically attracts insects and reliably suppresses emerging weeds.
