Free instructions: knitting a headband in a cable pattern
It doesn’t always have to be a hat, a headband also protects your ears from the cold wind. Our free instructions will help you to implement this project. All you need is a nice, fluffy wool, knitting needles and a finished label or a label to design yourself to knit the headband with a cable pattern.
Dimensions: 9 cm x 44 cm
Wool from Woll Butt “Madeleine” and from LANGYARNS “Malou Light”:
20 g mint (100% new wool, length 150 m / 50 g)
15 g mint (72% alpaca, 16% polyamide, 12% wool, barrel length 190 m / 50 g)
Knitting needles No. 6 (cable needle)
1 SnapPapp label: Unique or a self-designed leather label made of leather, artificial leather or SnapPap
Textile labels that you can design yourself are also great
In the cable pattern there are 22 stitches x 22 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm.
Note: You always knit with 2 threads (1 thread from each thread).
Work according to the chart. Always repeat the 1st – 16th row, knitting the stitches from the wrong side as they appear or as described
Temporarily cast on 20 stitches and knit 44 cm in a cable pattern. Undo the stitching and connect the stitches in a stitch.
Finally, sew on the SnapPapp label “Unique” fromnamesbaender.de.
If you want to have your own design on the leather label, you can design the leather labels or labels made of fabric yourself. You can get great ideas from our gallery.
