As gorgeous as the Dragonfly Glaze are, you need to add in a little more black into the paint to give it the “galaxy” look. Use a 1/4″ spouncer to add in the black paint. My recommendation is to not go heavy on the sponge. Lighter coats work best, and you can add in more as you go. Keep dabbing the areas to spread the paint and give more of a “cloudy” look. Let the paint dry completely.

Glitterific is my favorite way to add glitter to projects without making a huge mess! The paint has multiple sizes of glitter suspended in a clear base to keep the glitter contained and looking amazing on your projects. Paint on a layer of silver Glitterific to the top of the coasters to add some “stars” to the galaxy. Let the paint dry completely.

Since I can’t keep a plant alive (I consider my home a hospice for plants), FloraCraft succulent picks look amazing in the DIY Galaxy Flower Pots! After you choose a succulent pick (there are a ton to choose from), add a piece of floral foam into the pot and arrange the picks. Pour in some small river rocks or glass gems to cover the foam, and the Galaxy Flower Pots are ready to put on display!

Pin this project to save for later: Use a 3/4″ spouncer to cover small, random areas of the coaster with the Violet/Blue/Green Dragonfly Glaze Clean the spouncer well with warm water and soap, and then fill in other small areas with the Red/Violet/Blue Dragonfly Glaze Clean the spouncer (again), and then fill in all of the empty areas with Gold/Red/Violet Dragonfly Glaze . To make your own DIY Galaxy Flower Pot, you’ll need these supplies:Paint the outside of the flower pot with a coat of FolkArt Multi-Surface Paint in Licorice (black). I only needed to apply one coat, but you can add more if needed. Let the paint dry completely. FolkArt Dragonfly Glaze is a new paint from Plaid that adds an iridescent finish n a variety of colors. When painted over dark colors, the Dragonfly Glaze really pops, adding a brilliant, shimmery look to your project!
