Backyard Bohemian Bridal Shower
Today’s post has me all giddy inside! When my friend Sarah got engaged I just knew this boho chic would need her very own bohemian bridal shower. My mind, and Pinterest, dreamt of delicate feathers, dream catchers floating in the breeze, antlers adorned with flowers, a flower crown bar for our guests and my absolute favorite, a lace and ribbon teepee. Sarah’s bohemian shower was my go-to craft escape for weeks and I am so excited to share it with you! If you’re diggin’ on this vibe, keep reading! Everything you need to pull this look together is right here, from recipes, to printables, you name it.
No bohemian shower would be complete without inviations to set the mood
In our last post I shared all of the signage I created for the shower. It was important to me that there were some obvious, cohesive elements to an otherwise eclectic scene. To see each of these in more detail and download your own, check out the Bohemian Bridal Shower Signage post next!
Give your guests something to do with a DIY Flower Crown Bar
This was by far one of my favorite elements of the shower. As our guests arrived they were invited to create their own flower crown to get in the bohemian vibe. The crowns gave our guests a fun activity to do and acted as a shower favor simultaneously. Besides, we wanted to give them a reason to pose in front our teepee!
Make a statement with a lace and ribbon teepee for photo ops!
A unique twist on a photo booth, the teepee was a fun way to stage the party and get everyone involved in the fun! It was made even better by having a professional photographer on hand… thanks Brooke Hughes Photography for catching so many memories!
It’s all in the details
I must say, styling this shower was just too much fun! Here’s a description and some photos of just a few things I made for the shower to give you your own part inspiration: Dream catchers hung about the food table as a backdrop and above the tables as makeshift chandeliers. Table centerpieces were crafted out of antlers and eucalyptus garlands. While each table had mismatched linens in soft blue strewn about, the place settings were adorned with eucalyptus leaves and feathers. A too-die-for naked cake was the cherry on top! Find my recipe here. We wanted to make sure our bride had a takeaway from all of us; so we created a giant wooden letter to sign to hang in their master bedroom. The overall look wasn’t fussy but I couldn’t be happier with how it all came together!
The cherry on top was this babe to the right. From the get-go her style was my inspiration for the shower. I love you to the moon and back Baby G! I’m so thankful for your friendship and the chance to make these unforgettable memories together. Brooke Hughes Photography, thank you for the fabulous photos as always.
